Four Weeks Old

Well, it is 3 in the morning and I should be getting sleep, but for my Aunt Sharron I will write a blog instead. Just kidding! It is only 7:15 and I am stealing a few moments while Cole is watching Charolette's Web with his grandparents and Zach is holding the baby. I have several events to catch up on, so expect a new blog for the next couple days.

The first is Logan turning four weeks! (He is over 5 weeks now, but like I said, I am behind.)

Three Weeks Old

Logan is three weeks old today. When we put his pictures of the his first week next to these, we cannot believe how much he has grown! He is getting to be a chunky little thing!

Two Weeks Old

On Tuesday, Logan turned two weeks old. At his two week checkup, we learned that he has gained a pound over his birth weight (the goal was just to get back to his birth weight) and he has grown an inch and a quarter. He is growing like crazy!!!

Colorful Cole

Today Cole was coloring with markers. I started looking out the window and apparently got distracted by a tree or something (the sort of thing that happens when you aren't getting enough sleep) and when I looked back, Cole had colored his legs. I tried to keep coloring with him (redirecting him toward the paper), but it was too late--the seed was planted. We put the markers up when Cole looked at the marker, then looked at Logan--you could almost see the wheels turning--he hopped out of his chair, and I got to the marker just before his baby brother became Cole's newest canvas.

One Week Old

Logan turned one week old yesterday. He is getting quite the belly on him. So far, he is a really easy baby (I am almost scared to admit this for fear it will change). In fact, and I will probably laugh about this quite soon as Logan seems to be waking up a little and developing a personality, I called the doctor yesterday to make sure he was not sleeping too much and that it was okay that he didn't need us to hold him all the time. We are learning very quickly that he is quite different then Cole was as a baby. Thank goodness we didn't know better when we had our little Cole.

Overall, things are going well. Cole seems to be doing just fine (and is quite helpful as you can see from the picture--that is Logan's changing table), and aside from being a little tired and moody from time to time, I am recovering from having a baby and already miss parts of the pregnancy (but not enough to do it any time soon). We are doing well and just trying to get sleep and settle into being a family of four.
